Last Friday afternoon (17 December) All North Helicopters were very excited when they were able to assist Santa and his helper get to the Ord River Sports Club in a Kimberley Style sleigh, in between their busy schedule.

The big & little kids watched on as Santa flew in, landing on the local sports oval by helicopter, while Santa's reindeers where busy at work in the North Pole getting ready for Christmas Day.

Santa stayed on to see all of the children and help Ord River Sports Club celebrate their end of season Christmas bash.

Helicopters can play such a pivotal role in the search for a missing person and that was proven early last month.

Sammy Walker a 79 year old experienced bushman was missing for two days in a remote, central Kimberley location after not telling family where he was going.

With some keen eyes and a helicopter in the air, it led to a successful outcome finding Sammy resting under a tree, with a water bottle 3/4 full.

It can be quite cold at night and hot during the day in this remote region, so with Sammy's knowledge of the area and bush skills, it was key to his survival.
